South End Restoration Project

DEP will not allow us to replace the South end of the mill as it existed before the collapse in 1977. As part of the restoration of the mill, the sill has been replaced on the existing mill , as it was deteriorating. New siding was installed on May 16, 2026 with a hard-working crew under the leadership of Ed Somers. Many thanks to all who made this possible, including monetary donations from Norway Savings Bank and SPOOM, Barry Sturdivant, Hobie Denison and Tom Barker donated timber and lumber to complete the project.

The photo here shows the south end of the mill with the new siding. Windows will be installed soon.
